Religious Beauty...Visionaire Magazine

For the 60th edition of Visionaire magazine, Riccardo Tisci, chief designer of Givenchy took the reigns as editor. A role previously steered by the likes of Tom Ford and Hedi Slimane.
The theme took on a strong religious note, echoing Tisci's Catholic heritage. These portraits were taken by some of the most revered photographers in the world. They illustrate their beautiful interpretation of religion and art.

Media day at Showroom 22 saw Salasai put six looks from their SS11-12 collection on the catwalk for media to see. Model Abby Joyce looked perfect in her first outfit wearing the long linen 'Society Skirt' and 'Delphine Blouse'.

The talented, beautiful Ruby Frost played today at The Department Store to a crowd of well dressed shoppers and supporters. The sound was captivating and strong, the duo keeping audiences entertained with their eclectic mix of electro pop that's stringed together with jazzy drum beats and lyrical melodies. I went along with a girlfreind to see for myself what Ruby Frost could deliver and now I want more... she's a gem in the New Zealand music industry.

Brimmer captures every subject with simple beauty whether his focus is on a landscape, person or place. My particular favourites are from Brimmers exhibition called 'Personals' where his images capture moments of honesty and shows a sense of knowing. The three above are of New Zealand musicians but there are many more I enjoy.

Exotic New Zealand born Malaysian Tiffany Low is only 21 and about to graduate with a degree in Business. At last years NZ fashion week, Tiffany was a stand out in the Salasai show and also stunned onlookers during the Urbis Design Day exhibition at the Kohler showroom, designed by Salasai. Although only new to modelling, Tiffany has the professionlism of a seasoned pro and is a delight to work with.

'Childs Block' by Brian Culy and Adrian Thornton. This is on my want list and will stay there unfortunately as the limited run of ten have all been sold. However, there is light at the end of this wishlist as rumour has it that this artistic duo will soon be shooting another limited edition of the boy on the other side of the cube. My finger's are crossed.

Kitsch Thai- delicious food, great price and interesting decor. This place was a great find and the dumpling desert was a pleasent surprise to the taste buds. If you're in Sydney, SUK JAI on Pitt Street is a must!
