Wanted...Salasai Wallet

Salasai have brought out their very own leather wallets in both tan and black. They are the perfect size and style and have an interesting texture to them that sets them apart from others. They are very simple on the outside with the 'Salasai' logo embossed yet the inside carries all the essential compartments one would expect in a wallet. I will be getting mine, I just have to decide between subtle tan or classic black?

Celine Resort 2012

Phoebe Philo's contribution to Celine has again produced a beautiful collection that has classic structure and plenty of intrigue. Loose pants, thick waistbands, full floral prints, shear pleating and leather panelling detail this range all styled with white peeptoe platforms or white pointed heels. Philo's ability to structure shapes that are feminine and demure is clear and her eye for clever detail pin her design capabilities above the rest.

Stella McCartney Resort 2012

Resort ranges are often described as the 'dulled down version' of their mainline counterpart but Stella McCartney's Resort 2012 range is anything but. Bold colours, cleverly selected with feminine textures & beautiful summery prints complete this range that radiates the classic Stella simplicity and form. Tailored symmetrical shapes balanced with comfort and ease make this latest offering a must for every 'Stella addict'. The shoes are worth a mention too- I'll take one in black and tan!!

Louboutin Fall/Winter 11

Designer Christian Louboutin's Fall Winter 11 Lookbook reflects beautifully on a time gone by. Photographed by reknown photographer Peter Lippmann, the collection is placed throughout images referencing classic portraits. My favourites are the reinterpretations of James McNeill Whistler's 'Arrangement in Grey and Black:The Artist's Mother (1871) and Marie Guilhelmine Benoist's 'Portrait of a Negress' (1800).

Talented Mrs Apfel...

American businesswoman, former interior designer, fashion icon and philanthropist Iris Apfel has home decor as eclectic and interesting as its 89 year old inhabitant. A collage of colours, textures and shapes taken from 16th & 17th century glory adorn this incredibly visual Manhatten apartment.

In 1950, Iris and husband, Carl launched their textile firm Old World Weavers and ran it successfully until retirement in 1992. During this time, Iris lent her talents to many design restoration projects, including work at the White House for nine presidents: Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan and Clinton. Iris still consults, and lectures about style and other fashion topics.

Helmut Lang Resort 12

A fine offereing from New York label Helmut Lang for their Resort 12 collection. Subtle greys, whites and blacks seasoned to perfection with a dusting of cumin reasonates through this beautifully crafted collection. Soft tailoring combined with cleaver drapery and multi layering show off the feminine form while maintaining the asymetric aesthtic of Helmut Lang.

3.1 Phillip Lim AW 11/12

A palette of navy & cobolt blues, grey marl and striking greens, this collection is both classic and unassuming. The length is strong throughout the range and easy shapes are clevery brought to life with colour blocking and swinging textures. The 'Tomboy' in me favours the looks above.
